A Non-BVB Post
Book Recomendations!
Six criminals are sent to break into a maximum security prison to rescue a scientist. This duology has my favorite disabled character, and the diversity all around is really good.
(Also the gay couple gets the happy ending, no "tragic gay" plot line here).
TW: sex trafficking is a part of a characters backstory, although it isn't in too much detail.
What IS in detail, though, is parental abuse. One of the character's dad just needs to rot in hell then get skinned alive while burning in a fire already.
3. The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue
Historical fiction centering a complete disaster bisexual, and the two people that keep him from dying, his sister and his friend (and crush).
TW: This centers three queer children (MC's crush is gay, and his sister is Aro/Ace) in the 1700's, so homophobia is present. Racism, abelism, and sexism are also a part of the story.
4. Truly Devious
Really cool mystery series, especially for those who love Agatha Cristie. An eccentric billionaire founded an independent study program in the 1930's. Right after that, his wife and children were kidnapped, and a student was found dead. The case was never solved.
In modern times, a girl travels to the school on hopes of solving the case.
Then people start getting murdered.
There aren't too many TW for this, at least as far as I could find.
