My Concert on Oct. 3rd
Since I won't be able to go to one of the Trinity of Terror concerts, I thought it would be nice to reminisce about my concert at The Warfield.
As can be seen above, I went and got to meet BVB. This was the first time I got to the meet and greet, and they are all incredibly nice. I really wish I got more time to talk with them.
After the picture was taken, I re-entered the line and waited to be allowed back in to find my seat. As a note to any hemiplegics reading this: If you use heels constantly to deal with your screwed up leg (same), be sure to bring them to this, because there is a lot of standing, and I know I would not have made it without that support.
(For anyone who's not hemiplegic: it's weird, I know, just trust me on this. If you want to know, feel free to comment on this post, and I'll be happy to explain).
I got to the balcony, and patiently waited for the show to start.
Once it did: I don't think I've been in a more energized room. Even up in the balcony where I was, the energy radiated off the walls. Once DED had finished their set, we had to wait for a few minutes, and I was counting the seconds until BVB.
When BVB started performing Scarlet Cross, I swear, the energy spiked up as people (including me) sang along with the lyrics as they played a melody of songs. When In The End started, I began to get sad, because I did not want them to stop playing.
Once they left, there was another break until In This Moment came onstage. I'd never seen them live, and I was curious what would happen.
Let me put it this way: That live show put theatre kids to shame. It was dramatic, and extra, and I loved it. During the last song Whore, employees at the venue brought out these ginormous red balloons and set them loose in the auditorium, and confetti was dropped onto the crowd. I actually still have some of the confetti strips I collected that night!
I freakin' loved that concert.
