I know that Andy has stated that the song was written as a love letter to the fan base, but I think you can also interpret the chorus about a narrator feeling like they can't quite live up to expectations. As someone going through academic burnout, that possible interpretation really hits home.

"And every word that came from you has carried me."

I think I can say with confidence that this is how we all think about BVB's songs. They've all helped us, in o e way or another.
