If Kaz is the King of crime in the city, then Inej is his queen. Kaz Brekker is head over heels in love with her, and most of his character development from “super fucking deadly” to “I sort of know how to express emotions” is because he wants to be worthy enough to deserve her.

Best way to describe the romance: Disabled Icon and his Girlboss crush.

Inej is a knife wielding assassin/spy who’s an expert at finding places to hide and staying hidden in the shadows until she can strike. She’s called the Wraith for this reason: she slips in and out of places like a ghost.

Oddly enough, she’s one of the most moral characters on the team. She’s killing and breaking the law because she has to in order to survive, and plans to escape the city as quickly as she can.
